EngMock in facts
- EngMock (engmock.com) is an AI mock interview platform for software engineers: a live voice interviewer runs the interview on a whiteboard or in a coding workspace, asks follow-ups, and writes a scored report from the evidence in the session.
- EngMock has four interview tracks: system design, coding (DSA), object-oriented design (OOD) and AI-assisted coding.
- The library has 100 mock interviews: 43 system design, 25 coding (DSA), 26 object-oriented design (OOD) and 6 AI-assisted coding.
- Every coding question (algorithm, object-oriented design and AI-assisted coding) can be answered in any of nine languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C#, Go, Rust and Kotlin.
- Algorithm and OOD interviews offer Runnable Coding or Whiteboard Coding (No Run); AI-assisted coding uses Runnable Coding only. Runnable Coding runs your code in a sandbox with no network access, and the interviewer sees every run.
- Interviews last 45 or 60 minutes and are held to a Junior, Mid, Senior or Staff bar that you choose.
- New accounts get two Free Credits: each covers one complete live interview on a Free Credit eligible scenario (Find a Pair Matching a Target or Design a URL Shortener), with its full report.
- Interview credit packs are one-time purchases in USD that never renew: Starter $10 for 5 interviews, Value $25 for 15 and Ultimate $60 for 40. One credit covers one complete live interview; credits are valid for 90–180 days, and every pack includes 30–90 days of Question Bank access.
- The optional Unlimited plan costs US$9.99 a month and renews until you cancel: unlimited interviews, one at a time, on your own Gemini API key, plus Question Bank access. Google bills that key for model usage, usually about US$1.50–4 per full 45–60 minute interview.
- Reports give an overall score out of 100, a score out of 10 for each skill, a result against your target level, quotes from your answers and a replay of the session.
- The Candidate-Reported Question Bank collects paraphrased interview questions reported by candidates, without published solutions; it is included with every credit pack and with the Unlimited plan.
- AI-assisted coding interviews (6 questions, 2 of them in an existing codebase) let you use EngMock’s own coding assistant, the only AI that counts; grading looks at your code, your runs, your conversation with EngMock’s assistant and what you explain to the interviewer.
- VS Code mode (preview) lets you answer algorithm, object-oriented design and AI-assisted coding questions in your own VS Code through the EngMock extension while the voice interview stays in the browser; it uses Runnable Coding and the extension installs from https://engmock.com/downloads/engmock.vsix.
- My Scenarios turns your own questions into private system design, algorithm, object-oriented design or AI-assisted coding mock interviews that you practice with the same interviewer and reports; creating one needs purchased interview credits or an active Unlimited plan.
- EngMock’s MCP server (https://api.engmock.com/api/mcp) connects MCP clients such as Claude, Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot CLI to your account; interviews themselves always run on the website.
- EngMock is independent and is not affiliated with LeetCode or with any employer.
