Terms of Service

Welcome to EngMock.com. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your use of EngMock.com constitutes your binding acceptance of these terms. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

EngMock.com provides AI-powered technical mock interviews and a candidate-reported Question Bank. Features include live interview workspaces, an AI interviewer, session evaluation, time-limited access to digital question content, custom interview scenarios you create (section 6), an MCP server for connecting compatible AI tools to your account (section 7), and an optional Unlimited plan for interviews funded by your own Google Gemini API key (section 5). We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must sign in via a supported authentication provider. Accounts and purchased access are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. One-Time Purchases and Credits

  • Credits: Interviews funded by EngMock use interview credits: starting one uses one credit. Free Credits, which new accounts receive, can be used only for interviews marked as Free Credit eligible. Universal Credits from credit packs can be used for any interview, including your custom scenarios. Interviews you run on your own Gemini API key under the Unlimited plan (section 5) do not use credits.
  • Credit expiry: Universal Credits expire at the end of the validity period shown for their pack when you buy it, and cannot be used after that.
  • Question Bank access: Access lasts until the exact expiry time shown in your account. Multiple eligible purchases may extend that time. Access from purchases and access from the Unlimited plan run at the same time and do not add up; you have access until the later of the two ends.
  • Purchases: Credit packs, which include timed Question Bank access, and Question Bank passes sold in the past are one-time payments processed through Stripe and do not automatically renew. The Unlimited plan, which uses your own Gemini API key, is a recurring subscription described in section 5. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information.
  • Refunds and disputes: Digital content and consumed interview credits are generally non-refundable. If a payment is refunded or disputed, unused credits and Question Bank access associated with that payment may be frozen or revoked. Please contact support for exceptional cases.

5. Unlimited Plan (Use Your Own Gemini API Key)

  • Price and renewal: The Unlimited plan costs US$9.99 per month plus any applicable taxes. It is billed in advance through Stripe and renews automatically every month until you cancel. There is no free trial.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel at any time in Settings under Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • What it includes: During a paid period you can start unlimited personal interviews funded by your own Gemini API key, with one such interview running at a time, and you have access to the Candidate-Reported Question Bank. Limits on interview duration, code execution, generation and report retries still apply. When the plan ends, you cannot start new interviews or generation on your own key; interviews already started, their reports and accepted jobs may still be completed with your saved key.
  • Your Gemini API key and its costs: The plan price does not include AI model usage. Model requests for work on your own key, including transcription, reports and automatic quality checks of those interviews, are sent to Google with your key and are billed by Google to the project the key belongs to, under the terms of your Google account. You are responsible for your key, its quota and its charges. If your key is invalid, revoked or out of quota, that work stops; it is never moved to platform credits without your choice. Requests already sent cannot be withdrawn or refunded by us.
  • Refunds and disputes: Plan payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. If a plan payment is fully refunded, access for that period ends. If a payment is disputed, access for that period is suspended until the dispute is resolved. Credits and other purchases are not affected.
  • Price changes: We will tell you before a price change takes effect. A new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

6. Custom Scenarios

  • What they are: In My Scenarios you can write your own interview scenarios, or have AI draft one from a question or notes you paste or upload, then edit them and practice them as live interviews. AI drafts can contain mistakes, so review a draft before you rely on it.
  • Credits: Creating a scenario needs at least one Universal Credit or an active Unlimited plan. Having AI draft one needs at least one Universal Credit, or an active Unlimited plan with the draft run on your own Gemini API key. Neither uses a credit. Starting an interview from a custom scenario uses one Universal Credit, or no credit when it runs on your own Gemini API key under the Unlimited plan. Free Credits cannot be used for custom scenarios. Scenarios you have saved stay available to view, edit and delete without credits or a plan.
  • Your content: You are responsible for the scenarios and notes you add, and you must have the right to use them. Your scenarios are private to your account: we do not show them to other users or add them to the built-in catalog or the Question Bank.
  • Interviews keep their own copy: Starting an interview saves a copy of the scenario with that interview. Later edits do not change that copy, and deleting a scenario does not delete the interviews and reports that used it; you can delete those interviews separately.

7. MCP Server and Connected Tools

  • Connecting a tool: You can connect an AI tool that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to your account, either by approving it on EngMock or with a personal access token you create in Settings. You choose its permissions when you connect it.
  • What a connected tool can do: Within the permissions you approve, it acts on your account for you. For example, it can read and change your custom scenarios, read your interview history and reports, read your credit balance and plan status, search and read the Question Bank while you have access, delete past interviews, and request interview reports or AI drafts of scenarios. It cannot see your payment details, start interviews or spend credits. When a draft or report it requests runs on your own Gemini API key, Google bills that usage to your key's project (section 5).
  • Your responsibility: What a connected tool does with the permissions you approved counts as activity on your account (section 3). Connect only tools you trust. App names are not verified, so check the address shown before you approve. Keep access tokens secret. Information a tool reads is sent to that tool and to any AI service it uses, which handle it under their own terms.
  • Ending access: You can revoke a token or disconnect an app at any time in Settings. Connections also expire on their own.
  • Limits: MCP access has rate limits, and Question Bank reads through MCP count toward the same limits as reads on the website. We may limit or revoke MCP access that is misused or that affects the service.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or "jailbreak" our AI interviewer.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Automate access to the service or "scrape" its content, except through the MCP server for your own use, within the permissions and limits in section 7.

9. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding content you provide, such as whiteboard designs and custom scenarios) are and will remain the exclusive property of EngMock.com.

10. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the whiteboard designs and transcripts generated during your sessions, and of the custom scenarios and notes you add. By using the service, you grant EngMock.com a limited license to process your session data for the purpose of providing AI feedback and improving the service, and to store and process your custom scenarios and notes only to provide the features you use with them, such as AI drafts, interviews and reports.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall EngMock.com, its directors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of your use of the service.

12. Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that the AI evaluations will perfectly reflect actual interview outcomes or that the service will be error-free at all times.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
