Interview reports

A scored report with the evidence behind every score

After each interview, EngMock grades what you said, drew, coded and ran against the rubric for that track and the level you targeted, and shows you exactly where the signal was strong or missing.

Key facts

  • The report gives an overall score out of 100, a score out of 10 for each skill with the reasoning behind it, and whether you met the Junior, Mid, Senior or Staff bar you chose.
  • Scores come from the evidence in the session: what you said, drew, coded and ran. Phase coverage counts only what you did, not interviewer hints or unchanged starter code.
  • When a session holds too little evidence to grade, the report says “Not graded” instead of guessing a score.
  • Each track has its own rubric, and each question adds its own focus areas, scored separately.
  • In AI-assisted coding, your conversation with EngMock’s assistant is part of the evidence: how you delegated, reviewed and verified, never the assistant’s output as your own work.
  • You can replay the session along its timeline, save the report as a PDF or download it as Markdown.

What is in it

Every section of the report

Overall score and target result

An overall score out of 100, “Meets target” or “Below target” for the level you chose, and an estimate of the level you demonstrated.

Skill scores

A score out of 10 for each skill of the track’s rubric, each with the reasoning and quotes from your answers.

Phase coverage

Which phases of the interview you completed, partly covered or missed, such as requirements, estimation or validation.

Evaluation confidence

How complete the transcript and the recorded whiteboard or code evidence are. It measures the evidence, not your performance.

Strengths and improvements

Specific strengths, evidence-backed areas to improve, recommended study topics and actionable advice.

What a strong answer looks like

How a strong candidate at your target level would have approached the same question.

Limits

How to read the scores

  • Scores are practice calibration, not a hiring prediction: real interviews vary by company, role, team and interviewer.
  • The report grades the evidence the session recorded. Reasoning you never said aloud or code you never wrote cannot earn credit.
  • Reports are private to your account.

Report FAQ

How is the overall score calculated?
The grader scores each skill of the track’s rubric out of 10 from the evidence in your session, gives an overall score out of 100, and compares the result with the bar of the level you targeted.
What does “Not graded” mean?
The session did not contain enough evidence to grade fairly. The report says so rather than inventing a score.
Can I download my report?
Yes. Save it as a PDF from your browser’s print dialog, or download it as a Markdown file.
Does the report include my code and drawings?
Yes. The replay shows your whiteboard or code along the timeline, and coding reports include your final files.
