My Scenarios

Practice the interview questions you actually expect

Turn a question from your notes, a recruiter’s description or a past interview into a private mock interview, then practice it with the same live AI interviewer and scored report as the built-in library.

Key facts

  • My Scenarios turns a question you bring into a private system design, algorithm, object-oriented design or AI-assisted coding mock interview with the same live interviewer, workspace and scored report as the built-in library.
  • You can write a scenario yourself, or paste a question or an interview report and let AI draft the full scenario for you to review and edit.
  • You can also create and edit scenarios from Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot or another MCP client connected to your account.
  • Only you can see your scenarios, their source notes and the interviews you practice with them.
  • Creating a scenario needs purchased interview credits or an active Unlimited plan. Practicing one uses a purchased credit or the Unlimited plan; Free Credits cannot be used for custom scenarios.
  • Custom AI-assisted coding scenarios run like the built-in ones: a multi-file workspace with EngMock’s own coding assistant, which is the only AI that counts.

Create

Three ways to start a scenario

Write it yourself

The question, what a strong answer covers, and how to score it. Best when you know the exact prompt you will face.

Generate from your notes

Paste a question or an interview report, or upload a TXT or Markdown file. AI drafts the whole scenario for you to review.

Use your AI tool

Connect an MCP client to your account and create scenarios from chat. See the MCP server.

How it works

From your question to a scored report

  1. 1

    Bring a question

Write the question, what a strong answer covers and how to score it, or paste your notes or an interview report and let AI draft it.
  2. 2

    Review and edit

Every part of the draft is editable before you practice: the opening question, the reference answer, the interviewer’s guidance, the rubric, and for coding questions the languages and starter files.
  3. 3

    Practice it live

Start it like any other mock interview: the AI interviewer asks your question, follows up and adapts to your answers.
  4. 4

    Get a scored report

The report scores your answer against the rubric you approved, with the evidence behind each score and a replay of the session.

Who it is for

When the library does not have your question

A known format

A recruiter told you the round or the problem area; rehearse that exact format.

Questions you collected

Turn questions from past interviews or study notes into live practice instead of rereading them.

A weak spot

Write a scenario around the follow-ups that caught you out last time and practice until they do not.

Limits

What to know before you start

  • Scenarios can be system design, algorithm, object-oriented design or AI-assisted coding interviews.
  • AI drafting reads pasted text or one TXT or Markdown file of up to 20,000 characters (80,000 bytes). It does not fetch URLs or read PDFs or images.
  • One drafting job at a time and ten a day (UTC), counting failed or cancelled ones. Raw notes you paste expire after 30 days; the saved scenario stays.
  • Free Credits cannot be used for custom scenarios: creating and practicing them needs purchased interview credits or an active Unlimited plan.
  • Deleting a scenario removes it and its notes; interviews and reports you already have keep their own content.

My Scenarios FAQ

Are my custom scenarios private?
Yes. Only you can see your scenarios, their source notes and the interviews and reports you practice with them.
Can I use my Free Credits for my own questions?
No. Free Credits cover the Free Credit eligible scenarios of the built-in library. Creating and practicing custom scenarios needs purchased interview credits or an active Unlimited plan.
What can AI draft from?
Pasted text, such as a question, a job post or an interview report, or one TXT or Markdown file of up to 20,000 characters. It does not fetch web pages and does not read PDFs or images.
Which interview types can I create?
System design, algorithm, object-oriented design or AI-assisted coding interviews, each with the matching workspace and rubric.
